I have spent the last two summers working at my mom's quilt shop, Cazenovia Fabrics. My mom has been a quilter for as long as I can remember and for as long as I can remember she has tried to make me a quilter too. And I'll be honest, I had no interest in it what-so-ever. Until I realized that what I like to do, design, is inherent to the quilting process. Not only with putting the pieces together into a finished quilt but with the raw material of the fabric itself. I became infatuated with the possibilities of fabric—the color, texture, design, everything—and realized that I can use my skills as a classically trained graphic designer in a way I never thought I could!
